Verizon Wireless will end the $30/month unlimited data plan on July 7th. New Verizon customers will be able to purchase a 2GB plan at $30 per month, a 5GB plan at $50 per month, and a 10GB at plan $80 per month. This on top of a regular voice plan. Sure, majority of mobile phone users consumes no more than 1G of data a month. But wouldn’t it be nice to know that you can stream music or YouTube videos anytime you want without worrying about going over the limit?
The good news is that for current Verizon Wireless subscribers, you will still be able to keep the current unlimited data plan when you upgrade to a new phone. You can get the best DROID X upgrade deal for a limited time. For those who want to switch to Verizon Wireless - act now. You have until July 7, 2011 to sign up a new service plan and take advantage of unlimited data offer, even though you are not sure which phone to get (hint: DROID INCREDIBLE 2 has the lowest price of season right now). Once you are in an active contract, you can always swap to a different phone at a later date.
